Sandwiches
I used to work at a deli. I made these sandwiches for customers and initially photographed them for use as source material for some drawings.
Customers saw me photographing their sandwiches and asked what I was doing. What resulted was a series of conversations about art, craft, aesthetics, and the role of the artist. This was a formative experience for me.
